M-FT Modular integrator
The current detection of transmission and distribution lines often needs to detect the steady-state current, fault current and traveling wave current at the same time. The traditional method is to use different sensors to detect different current signals. Therefore, the system is with redundant devices and complex constructure, which not only wastes a lot of installation time, but also has poor reliability.
In order to solve the above problems, ROGOWSKI TECHNOLOGY (SHANGHAI) CO.,LTD developed a fire-new modular integrator M-FT after years of technical research.Configuration equipped with broadband Rogowski coils and one M-FT modular integrator, which is especially designed for outdoor embedded installation, it realizes the signal detection of power frequency current and high frequency current. The advantage of compact appearance, simple application and directly installation on application mainboard, quickly shorten development period.
M-FT integrator can measure a variety of high frequency pulse current signals, such as 3/5μs, 8/20μs, 10/350μs. The frequency can reach up to 10MHz or even more, and the peak value can cover 1A to hundreds of kA. In the range of 10% - 100%, the linearity is better than 1%.
The broadband Rogowski coils produced by ROGOWSKI TECHNOLOGY (SHANGHAI) CO.,LTD, which is with opening model and easy installation, has the advantages that traditional CT can't do. The available coil series are H-FCT, H-ZRC, H-MRC and rigid coil RCT.
The modular integrator has two versions, the dual power supply version M-FT-D (±3V~±15V) and the single power supply version M-FT-S (+3V~+5V). One Rogowski coil corresponds to three outputs, including one power frequency output and two high frequency pulse outputs. The output signal is a voltage signal, and its waveform is proportional to the original current wave. The ratio can be set according to the actual demand.
For example: 1 pin output power frequency current 0.5V/kA; 7 pin output high frequency current 0.5V/kA; 8 pin 1V/100A, 8 pin output signal can be used as trigger.

Note: Single power supply version M-FT-S can be with lifting voltage output, eg. with lifting 2.5V/1.2V/1.8V output, connecting to input 5V/3.3V ADC.
PCB attention points:
The power pin should be placed close to the capacitor combination of 10uF to 100nF; The high frequency output needs to be routing wired underground, please refer to the high frequency signal wiring rules.
1. The subassembly is integrated designed with Rogowski coil and modular integrator, which is connected directly through SMA or MMCX connector.
2. Output mode is using one Rogowski coil corresponding with 3 ratios. On the premise of using one Rogowski coil, the integrator outputs one power frequency signal and two traveling wave signals with different ratios, and the high frequency signal can be filtering out power frequency or not.
3. * Significance of filtering out power frequency: The high frequency pulse wave has little energy distribution below 400Hz. Even if it is filtered out, the original waveform will not be greatly affected. But it brings great convenience for waveform analysis. In this way, the starting position of the waveform is always at bit 0, rather than starting on a power frequency waveform.
